Barry the Builder was really at it today. The sun set before the last bit of plywood could be fitted. Quitman headed on back to Hattiesburg. We really enjoyed his visit. Wish KJ and Jeannie could have been here too.
You can't tell by this picture, but there's a jig amongst all the wood on the table that made building all seven of the trusses simple. Thank goodness for all the good ole lumber yard experience. Who knew how valuable it would be. Tomorrow the rest of the roof will go up, the doors and windows in and the final piece of HardiBoard. YeaHaw.
Quitman helped center the door in the frame last night and we went early this AM to get the last of the shed materials. The next few days will be spent raising the roof and putting on the last walls and door so we can move out of storage by the end of the month. Just gotta figure out the ridgecap and flashing then we are home free. HOPEFUL is the word of the day.
Quitman Lockley's in town for a couple of days and we drug him down to Fennians tonight to hear Barry play the first set. I am trying to make a movie of the music. We shall see how that works. j
It's the moonflowers that keep the bees buzzing even at night. While Barry's building the shed, Judi's building new beds all around it...literally. You'll see.
