The latest buzz....I laid another half dozen rows today, and now have roughly half the den floor done. I won't finish before Monday, so will just do a few rows, here and there, over the weekend.

The latest buzz....I only got 5 more rows laid today. I must be getting old, because all of this crawling around, flipping from being on my rear to being on my knees, leaning one way or another to put a nail in, etc., etc.,.......let's just say it was a tough day. I tried to get the cat to help, but he just looked at that hammer and walked away.

The latest buzz....my goal was to get 10 more rows done today, leaving approximately 28 to do. I made it to the second board on the 10th row when my drill bit broke. It was the second one I broke today, (and I broke one yesterday). So, I'll wait until Judi gets home, and then drive up to Lowe's and get a half dozen more, and maybe some quarter round. The floor is looking good, but it sure takes a toll on a body.

The latest buzz....I spent about 4 hours laying 4 rows of wood flooring in the den. I looks like I'll need another 38 full rows until I reach the bar and doorways on the other side of the room.

The latest buzz....we've cleaned out most of the den, and I've begun culling the hardwood floor we're going to put down.

The latest buzz....we got our backyard stage painted, and modestly decorated.

The latest buzz.... We've sent in a copyright request for 8 of my songs, the ones Josh and I worked on through the holidays.



The title on the below CD cover art, refers to a song whose lyrics include the refrain, "I've been looking long and hard for you."

The latest buzz...WE ARE DONE! It was a total team effort. We stayed tied in, on rope, the whole time. (Afterwards, we had steak and baked potatoes....celebration time.)

The latest buzz....Rain, Rain, Rain. I got out this morning and got felt on the roof before the rain came today. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, too. Wednesday and Thursday are looking rain free, so if I start early and work hard, maybe I can get the roof shingled by Thursday night.

The latest buzz....We started putting plywood up this weekend, and are finished. We've got the felt paper cut and ready to go up, and the shingles are here, too. It's time to push on to the end.

The latest buzz....The city should come inspect our structure tomorrow (Monday). Meanwhile, we put in the deck from the carport to the shed, and put up the railings on that side. We're very pleased with the outcome.

For unto us.....in the midst of it all.....

The latest buzz....MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS! We were up at 5:45 this morning. We had juice and the traditional fruit (oranges and grapefruit, with cherries). We then carried our coffee into the living room and started opening presents. Great fun!



The latest buzz...After I made two batches of fattigman, Judi found me a fattigman cutter for Christmas. It's too cool. It does everything, cutting each side and making the little cut in the center.



Barry still gets his mouth washed out with soap.





The latest buzz..."Obviously, they saved the best picture for last. Have a meow-volous Christmas.

The latest buzz... All the rafters are up! Yesssss! Still have some work to do on attaching them to the outside beams, but the main "high-work" is done. Next up, inspection and then plywood.
