You just can't take care of your kids all by yourself anymore. Everyone needs a good watch-cat.

A singing (or howling) dog! Who knew?

Nini Swinging
Nini's very happy to be at the Warwicks' house.

She gets a little closer to Eilene.

The boys take a walk down to the lake.
Nini found this dog worthy, and blessed and consecrated his life in Madision, with a simple laying on of the hands.
After days of being scared by me, (i.e., crying and turning away), Nini finally changed her mind and fell asleep in my arms - I was safe, but boring.
A few pictures from Saturday's trip to the Natural Science Museum.

THEY'RE HERE! They got in around dark, so Judi and I went to see them at their hotel.

These two got along like two peas-in-a-pod.

We finally caught those Dalton Boys.

The latest buzz....
The front bedroom's new western wall layout. It has a western look to it.

The new bed position in the front bedroom.

Seeing the stage from the windows at my desk in the back room.

The countertop for the new cabinets is on. It's pine planks, like the one across from it. Still need to fill holes, sand, and complete the finishing, but...whew....it's almost there.

Thank you, Sandra & Jim, for my butterflies. Barry told me to go ahead and open it.

Can you identify our volunteer squash?

Barry's new car.

Second coat of very light stain on the new countertop.

I salvaged the mission style end pieces from our old futon frame. This lounging-loveseat will eventually have 4 to 6 inch-thick seat pads (I've already found them) and we'll either buy or make tall seatback pads. The back is tall enough so we can have somewhere to rest our head. Next, one coat of stain. Then, on to seat pads.

We aren't hosting the first All Redneck Gymnastic Meet, (though these do resemble the uneven parallel bars). Instead, these bad boys will stand in front of the A/C, on the east side of the house, and have some funky wood pieces hanging down on ropes. "KEEP FONDREN FUNKY."

Baba Ghanoush, for when my fabulous wife get's home today. (I'll fry some flour tortilla-like flat bread when you're home, for eating the Baba Ghanoush and the Guacamole.)
The first raised planting box. The next one, for the left side, should be much smaller.

Fresh from the oven at 11:30 a.m. Made for my dear sweet, gorgeous wife, who is working hard today (as she did yesterday) on her weekend. An angel in my eyes.

The Cabinet Completion Comes Closer! I've attached the hanging portion of the kitchen/dining room window-cabinet. From this angle, it looks like the cabinet is one piece that comes through the wall into the dining room. (Just the visual we had hoped for.)

We decided to use pine for this counter. We already had granite on two walls in the kitchen, and pine on the little bar (in the distance), so we thought we should probably match the pine on the bar, so we wouldn't end up with three different countertops. (Just a bit more trim work, some staining, and some poly...we're very close.)

4th of July light-art......picked up a few little explosive displays and shot 'em off on the driveway while Judi shot photos
